The CTM Centre Tecnològic Foundation is a not-for-profit foundation the mission of which is to contribute efficiently to improving business competitiveness and technological progress through the provision of specialised services and the performance of R&D/IT projects.
The CTM Centre Tecnològic Foundation team works for companies, entities and institutions in the areas of Materials Technology, Simulation and Innovative Design, Forming Processes, Environment Technology, Energy and Bioengineering.
The CTM Centre Tecnològic Foundation is a member of the network of technology centres of the Government of Catalonia (XCT) with membership No. CT03/04 and is registered as an OTRI (Research Results Transfer Office), with No. 158 from the Ministry of Education and Science. With other centres from Catalonia it jointly founded the ACTec (Catalan Association of Technology Centres), of which it was the first president.
The CTM Centre Tecnològic Foundation is a member of TECNIO, a brand created by ACCIÓ that brings together the main stakeholder experts in Catalonia in applied research and technology transfer.
2014 saw the start of the process to integrate Catalonia’s 6 advanced technology centres (Ascamm, Cetemmsa, Barcelona Digital, Leitat, Barcelona Media and CTM). This integration goes by the name of Eurecat - Centre Tecnològic de Catalunya and will drive innovation for Catalonia’s production fabric, and supply differential technology and advanced knowledge for company competitiveness. With the integration of the six advanced technology centres, Eurecat is to become a benchmark for industrial research and a key part in the Catalan system of innovation.
